Almasy, Steve. Fish Put on New Light. Article. CNN. 9 Jan 2014. Web. 10 Jan 2014 <http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/08/world/fish-light-up/index.html?hpt=wo_t2>
This article is about fish that absorb a type of light and use it to produce another type of light that allows them to glow a different color. Scientists do not know what the reason for these fish to do this is, some have ideas that the fish could be using this type of biofluorescence as a way of attracting a mate or for warding off predators. Others however believe that the lights serve no use.
This article relates to my biology class I took last year. The way that the article relates is that it is talking about an organism and how these species are able to create these lights while other species are not able to. I believe this article is very interesting, and I also believe that the lumination that the fish produce have a use.
I feel that this discovery is very important, people can learn even more about the creature that live in our oceans. This affects the way that I will look at fish whenever I goto the beach now I will always wonder if there is any fish glowing under me.

This was a very good article and interesting subject. I like how you stated your opinion and gave you reaction of what the article did to you. It looks like a well written article, but i only see one thing that would improve your article greatly. Putting all your citations at the bottom of the pae is best because when the citation are in the middle of the article; it could distract the readers interest. I agree with you, when i go to the ocean or the beach I’ll remember that there are creatures that are under me. These creatures can glow like the fish the article was about. Also there are many other fish in the sea that have not been investigated, and are mysterious in their own way. Well thats all i have to say about your article, you're off to a great start.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting article. I like how you summed up everything the article said in a few sentences. You made it easier to understand. I think it's cool that a fish can absorb a type of light to produce another type of light. It makes me wonder why exactly do they absorb this light for. I'm sure there has to be a reason. There's a few grammar mistakes. Why do you think the fish produces a light? Do you want to do any further investigation on this topic?
